| The LEAP Mission |
|
| To serve the Legislature as an independent source of information and
technology for developing budgets, communicating budget decisions, and tracking revenue, expenditure,
and staffing activity; to consult with legislative committees; and to provide analysis on issues as
directed by the Legislature and legislative staff. |

| Goals |
| To continue to improve application and system support for the legislative
budget process; to respond to changing requirements of legislative fiscal staffs; to meet demanding legislative
timelines; and to expand the availability of information to the growing audience that relies on LEAP for fiscal
information. |

- Provide the tools, technology, and support that ensure a stable, effective environment for fiscal policy-making and oversight
- Ensure that fiscal information is accurate, easy to access, and timely
- Structure fiscal information to meet the needs of the legislature and other key audiences

- Create and maintain systems and models that fiscal staffs use to develop budgets
- Develop and enhance reporting systems
- Administer data to support legislative budget development and fiscal oversight
- Provide assistance in creating and publishing legislative fiscal information
