Washington State Budget

The Washington State budget is developed with three spending plans: the Omnibus Operating Budget (pays for the day-to-day operations of the state), the Transportation Budget (pays for transportation activities, such as designing and maintaining state highways and public transit), and the Capital Budget (pays for acquisition and maintenance of state buildings, public schools, parks, etc.).

  • Legislative Budget Notes (Final Enacted Budgets)
    ("Enacted" spending plans reflecting governor vetoes and funding lapses.)

  • Legislative Passed Budgets
    (Legislative passed spending plans, including budget bills and other supporting documents.)

  • Budget Proposals
    (Legislative and Governor "Proposed" spending plans for the current Legislative session.)
